HARD
RESET
YOUR
LIFE

A starter guide for anyone who is done waiting for permission to be who they already are. No matter where you are in the world.

Chapter One
Your Current OS Is Broken

And it's not your fault. But it is your responsibility to fix it.

Every device runs on an operating system. Your phone, your laptop, your TV — they all have invisible software running in the background. You have one too.

Yours got installed before you could consent to it. It was built from what your family believed, what your school rewarded, what your community celebrated, and what you watched everyone around you do. For most of us, that OS has some very specific programs running:

Programs Currently Running on Your Mental OS

PROG 001 "Success means leaving where I am."
PROG 002 "A good job equals security."
PROG 003 "Standing out is dangerous."
PROG 004 "If no one around me has done it, it isn't possible."
PROG 005 "Being different means being judged."

These aren't truths. They are inherited scripts — stories passed down like recipes. Nobody asked if the recipe was actually good.

The Diagnosis

Here is how you know your OS needs updating: you feel busy, but not fulfilled. You feel like you're moving, but going nowhere. You have a passion, a skill, an idea — that you keep pushing to the back because it doesn't look like "success" is supposed to look.

Exercise 1.1 · The Audit

Identifying Your Inherited Programs

Finish these sentences honestly. No filter.

In my family/community, success looks like:
The path I'm "supposed" to take is:
The thing I actually want to do but feel scared to admit is:
If no one I knew would ever find out, I would:

Truth Moment: The people who changed the world were not the ones who ran the most common software. They were the ones who dared to run something different.

Your Unique Advantage

What you've been calling a limitation is actually your most powerful asset. Let's prove it.

Let me tell you something that took me years to understand: you are not behind the world. You are different from it. And different, in a world full of same, is worth more than you know.

Wherever you are, whatever you have access to — your perspective and your story are things no one else has. That is not a disadvantage. That is power.

"The world is increasingly craving authenticity, community, and genuine perspective. You have that built in."

The Resource Inventory

Before you can use what you have, you need to see what you have. Most people have been trained to look at their surroundings and see scarcity. Let's flip that.

Exercise 2.1 · Your Resource Inventory

What do you actually have right now?

  • A smartphone with internet access
  • A skill, hobby or knowledge someone else would find valuable
  • A story that is uniquely yours
  • A community of people who know and trust you
  • A cultural identity genuinely interesting to the wider world
  • Time (even a little bit each day)
  • Access to free platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, email)

Chapter Three
Start With Nothing

Broke. Alone. Unknown. That's not a disadvantage. That's exactly where every real story begins.

The biggest lie that keeps people stuck is: "I'll start when I'm ready."

Ready never comes. Ready is a feeling that gets triggered by starting, not by waiting. You don't get ready to jump in the ocean — you jump, and the readiness comes from the water.

The Permission Slip

You do not need more money to start.
You do not need more followers to start.
You do not need anyone's approval to start.
You do not need to have it all figured out to start.
You need to start to start.

The Fear Is The Path

The thing you're most afraid to do publicly? That fear is pointing directly at your calling. The size of the fear is proportional to the significance of the thing it's protecting.

The Minimum Viable Start

One post. One conversation. One thing made. That's all you need.

This week, I will:

Chapter Four
The Hard Reset Protocol

Six moves that will interrupt your current patterns and install the new ones. Do these. In order. This week.

A hard reset doesn't erase who you are — it clears the cache. The corrupted files. The background processes draining your battery. What's left is a faster, cleaner, more capable version of the same machine.

RESET 01The Digital Fast

For 24 hours: no social media. No news. No entertainment content. The discomfort you feel is evidence that the algorithm owns more of your attention than you do. Take it back.

Instead: Journal. Walk. Create something. Call someone who matters.

RESET 02The Physical Reboot

Move your body in a way that challenges it. Walk. Run. Swim. Do 100 push-ups broken into sets. Physical disruption breaks mental loops. When your body reactivates, your mind follows.

RESET 03The Brain Dump

Sit with paper and write everything in your head. Every anxiety. Every desire. Every half-formed idea. Every fear. Write until the page is full and your head is empty.

Do It Here

Brain Dump — empty your head, no filter

RESET 04The Nervous System Reset

Inhale for 4 seconds. Hold for 2. Exhale for 6. Repeat 5 times. Do this twice a day. This activates your vagus nerve to lower cortisol and pull your body out of survival mode. You cannot think clearly from fight-or-flight.

RESET 05The Clarifying Question

Every morning for 7 days, write the answer to: "If I wasn't afraid of what anyone thought, what would I do today?" After 7 days, look at what appears most often. That's your compass.

7-Day Answers

Write one answer per day

Day 2:
Day 3:
Day 4:
Day 5:
Day 6:
Day 7:
After 7 days, what keeps coming up?
RESET 06The One Decision

Pick one thing. Not five. Not a plan. One direction. Decide not to succeed — just to begin. Declare it in writing right now.

I, , have decided to begin:
Starting on:
The reason this matters to me:
Chapter Five
Get Paid To Exist

Not "make money online." Something far more sustainable: an income built from who you actually are.

Here's the thing about money that nobody explains properly: money follows value, and value follows authenticity. The more genuinely, specifically, visibly yourself you are — the more you attract the people who will pay for what you do.

"Did you know you can actually get paid to exist? Not a million dollars in 90 days — an income flow that allows you to be who you are."

— Avie St. Louis

YOUR AUTHENTIC INCOME MODEL
Exercise 5.1 · Find Your Formula

Map Your Intersections

Who are you? (personality, story, what makes you distinctly you)
What do you know? (skills, experience — even casual ones)
Who needs it? (who struggles with what you've already figured out?)
Now connect them. What could this look like as a product or service?

Automation: Working While You Sleep

The goal is not to hustle harder. The goal is to build a system that runs without you. One piece of content can reach 10,000 people. One digital product can sell while you sleep. That is the system — and it starts with being visibly, genuinely you.

Chapter Six
Your 30-Day Relaunch

Evidence of transformation isn't something that happens to you. It's something you document, build, and earn — day by day.

Transformation is not a moment. It's a sequence of small decisions, made consistently, in the same direction. Thirty days is enough to interrupt an old pattern and install a new one — if you're intentional.

Week 1 — Detox & Diagnose
Day 1–2 Complete the Digital Fast. 24 hours, minimum.
Day 3 Do the Brain Dump from Chapter 4. Fill at least two pages.
Day 4–5 Complete Exercises 1.1 and 1.2 from Chapter 1.
Day 6 Complete the Resource Inventory from Chapter 2.
Day 7 Write your Declaration from Chapter 4. Sign it. Keep it visible.
Week 2 — Explore & Expose
Day 8–9 Do the Fear Flip from Chapter 3. Sit with the answers.
Day 10 Post one piece of content related to your gift. Anything. Just one.
Day 11–12 Tell one person you trust about your declaration. Out loud.
Day 13 Research one person doing something similar to what you want to do.
Day 14 Complete the Authenticity Formula from Chapter 5.
Week 3 — Build & Document
Day 15–16 Create your first "thing" — a piece of content, a product sketch, a portfolio item.
Day 17 Do the Nervous System Reset every morning this week. Track how you feel.
Day 18–19 Journal daily: "What did I do today that scared me?"
Day 20 Review your Declaration. Have you started? What needs adjusting?
Day 21 Post again. Document the process, not just the result.
Week 4 — Relaunch
Day 22–25 Build consistently. Make something every day, even if it's small.
Day 26 Write down three things that have shifted in how you see yourself since Day 1.
Day 27–28 Engage with one person online who is doing what you want to do.
Day 29 Write your before/after. Not results — mindset.
Day 30 Celebrate. Then decide what comes next.
